In 2007, Mr. Safi Ulya Mia, former chairman of Bhabaniganj Union Parishad No. 18, divided Bhabaniganj Union into two unions. At that time one was Bhabaniganj Union and the other was Tewariganj Union No. 19 which is now in vogue. There are two markets in this union which is known as Tewariganj market so the esteemed people of the area have named the present union as Tewariganj union. The biggest contributor is Sabi Bhabaniganj Union Parishad Chairman Safi Ullah BAB Ed. That is why it is now known as 19th Tewariganj.
